The Final Lap Around (Graduating from College)

  There is a lot going through my mind. Especially the fact that this is my last first day here at CBC. I  honestly have had the time of my life here. Coming in back in Winter 2017 as a 21 year old, having no idea what I was in for. Taking class after class, learning more about my faith and who I was in Christ, while establishing new friendships with those around me. To figuring out my calling and my passion.

       Fast forward, now being at that the end of my semester and finishing my Major of my degree that I have been working on the for last 4 years, which is by far still surreal for myself.  I have been able to reflect on my past four years here at CBC and come to realize that I have gone through a lot of lessons,  some good some bad and some that have shaped who I am today.

        Each semester has brought forth a challenge. Some of those challenges have been life-changing,  some of them have been difficult to go through whether it be from friends leaving your life to friends coming into your life. To different relationships of sorts. To God breaking down your faith and rebuilding it again. To even going through trials and temptations. All to come down to this one idea that without God I am nothing, because of God is how I am still here today. Because of his faithfulness and grace is how I am able to take it  day by day, following His calling that He has for me.

        My advice for all who are thinking about going to post secondary or are thinking about going is the following.  Take it all in and enjoy it,  also don’t be afraid to take some risk and challenge yourself mentally, while allowing God to do work in you. Also surround yourself with friends of all kinds. And find friends outside of the school “bubble”. 

       I am excited to see where God will take me going forward. As well as, continue to be a light to those who I come across on this next upcoming chapter of my life.
